 | Don Long, Publisher One of New Zealand's most experienced educational publishers, Don joined Lift Education in 2005. Prior to joining Lift, Don worked for Learning Media as an editor and project manager. He oversaw the establishment of Learning Media's Pacific section as a senior editor and publisher and edited and project managed the Ministry of Education's current suite of resources for teaching Maori as a second language. Don has been closely involved with the development of UNESCO's Education for All initiative. A former member of the International Reading Association's Oceania Committee, Don is currently a member of UNESCO's Education Sub-commission and sits on the management committee of several writers’ organisations. He is registered as a publishing consultant with NZAID. Don is also an award-winning children's book author.
