Working with Auckland UniServices and the Institute of Education of the University of the South Pacific, with financial support from the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Lift produced a range of literacy resources to support improvement in student literacy outcomes in the Cook Islands, Tonga, and the Solomon Islands.
Collaborating with the ministries of education of the three countries and the in-country teams of PLSLP, Lift developed more than 60 books in Pacific languages and dialects, as well as English. Amongst the 60 books, some incorporate teacher support material appropriate to Pacific cultural and training environments, while others use innovative forms such as wordless books and dual language readers.
