A River of Stories is an illustrated anthology of poems and stories published by the Commonwealth Education Trust.
The book (and everything in it) is themed around water and the issue of sustainable water management. The poems and stories have been sourced from Commonwealth countries in six continents.
It sits alongside the A River of Stories Educational Resource. This resource was developed by the Trust to engage young readers and add energy to teachers’ writing programmes.
The resource aligns to Levels 2–4 of The New Zealand Curriculum and links to the science, social sciences, English and the arts learning areas. It includes graphic organisers to support writing activities and guidelines for assessment of students’ writing.
